Drowning Pool turned the world into believers with their breakthrough single “Bodies” in 2001. Ten years and four albums later, they gave fans a new reason to believe. “Feel Like I Do,” the lead single from their self-titled fourth studio release [Eleven Seven Music, 2010], became the band’s biggest radio hit to date, reaching No. 2 at Active Rock Radio, and remaining in the Top 5 for 12-weeks.
The metal band from Dallas, Texas, which consists of C.J. Pierce – guitar/ vocals, Stevie Benton – bass/vocals, Mike Luce – drums/vocals and Jasen Moreno/vocals. (Jasen Moreno replaced Ryan McCombs – SOiL – in 2011-) cite influences such as Anthrax, Motley Crue and Pantera.
At this point, absolutely nothing can stop Drowning Pool. The platinum-selling Texas quartet continues to roll forward fearlessly as they finish up work on their fifth, as yet untitled full-length album and third for Eleven Seven Music.
Recorded at ‘House of Lord’ studios with Katao Khandwala again at the helm their patent arena-ready, fist-pumping hard rock remains intact even as they welcome new singer Jasen Moreno into the fold. Make no mistake about it. This is Drowning Pool at their most focused, fiery, and fierce.
Drowning Pool have now announced a new single SINGLE ‘ONE FINGER AND A FIST. We took a listen, and here’s what we thought:
“Fighting their way out of any given confrontation … it is what is expected of Drowning Pool.
This snarling, in-your-face neurological fury is intended to be a trouble-maker and a concert highlight.
Stuffed with huge slugs of powerful metal, battering ram drums, and the kind of chorus that you will want to sing out loud – until your lips bleed. This song will allow all but the meekest to wake up and meet the challenges of the day…”
