THE DIRTY YOUTH Alive
The Dirty Youth – the South Wales quintet fronted by the wonderful Danni Monroe on vocals – have been setting the world alight recently with their fiery debut album titled ‘Red Light Fix.’
Their sounds are often cruel yet magnificent – artfully blending rock anthems together with huge metallic riffs and a dirty punk attitude.
Now they release their “Alive” video – Our Oculus Commentarias here at Metal As Religion couldn’t wait to have a listen:
Against a scampering beat and a fluster of guitars that erode the silica layers – the vocal floods out like molten lava – infiltrating the wounds of the earth.
Guitars (Matt Bond and Luke Padfield) are fast and nervous – and they echo like thunder around the valleys of sound – causing flash-fires wherever they settle.
Then a synth note mournfully rises like a cloud of gas – as it wraps itself around the root and muscle of the song: The percussion and bass (Phil Edwards & Leon Watkins.)
After that – no doubt – you will feel “So Alive!”
