IDIOM Announce More UK Shows
IDIOM’S ‘Movement’ EP is to be included as cover-mount CD with second issue of Metal Hammer in stores 31st March.
“’Movement’ is about constantly striving for what you want and dream,” says Idiom guitarist Kris Gibbz.
“Each song has its own journey and meaning to all of us but we’ve been the same four members for the whole of Idiom’s existence and we’re closer than ever. This is just the beginning of that movement.”
Our Scriba Pontificus had a listen to ‘Movement’. Here’s what he thought:
In ‘Movement’ drums and crisp voices vociferate to converge in a brazier of sounds that is spiked with guitars.
The melodies create storms of feelings – set as they are against tremendous, rhythmic verbiage.
Take ‘Braindead’, for example, with its touches of angular guitar and the insistent, gnawing main vocal that begs as much as it snarls.
This wooshes out … it’s as fast as a Skeleton Run – and twice as dangerous….
