Here at METAL AS RELIGION we love metal in all guises, sizes, shapes and assorted flavors! We are really getting thrilled about this years Hammerfest edition titled Metal Marauders.
The festival takes place 12-15 March 2015 at Camp HRH, Pwllheli, North Wales.
We have already chosen three of the hottest metal artists out there for you to check-out before participating in this year’s event.
We hope you are as excited as we are…
1:The King Is Blind
East Anglian Monolithic Metallers The King Is Blind create hugely satisfying melodic noise reminiscent of Black Sabbath and Celtic Frost.
‘A Thousand Burning Temples’ – for example – is a haunt-filled admixture of alluring heaviness and gravel-throated resonance.
Brilliance in the darkness!
2: The Heretic Order
London based Evil Rock n Rollers The Heretic Order play the darkly melodious broody joy you might associate with acts like Motorhead .
For example, Burn Witch Burn plods like a lame monster. The title riffs lurch in – dripping blood and gore.
But actually this is fast, acidic and excitingly sleazy.
A thrill ride!
3: Red Rum
There is never enough Neoclassical Pirate Metal in this world. Luckily Red Rum will be at Hammerfest to provide it.
We have been listening to “Make Port Drink Port” with its fizzy foam headed, accordion squeezing, clogging rhythms.
This is whiskery and jig-filled.
