MEAXIC On Instinct
MEAXIC is a Brooklyn NY based progressive rock/metal project started by Jeet Suresh Paul.
Jeet started writing music around 2008 and has slowly developed his style and technique. Taking influences from bands like Metallica and Alter Bridge – he loves to combine thrashy riffs with melodic vocal lines. Recently, he has drawn influences from Periphery, Tesseract and other progressive bands.
The band also includes Sudeip Ghosh (Guitars) Nick Johnson (Bass) and Denis Macabre (Drums.)
MEAXIC release their latest single “On Instinct” from their debut EP: ‘Synergy’ (set to be issued this spring.)

Meaxic – The deep-tones burn like cordite into your bones — whilst the masticating bass furrows deep in your innards…
We had a listen:
The growling riff certainly “buries claws deep” into your cortex.
The deep tones burn like cordite in the bones – while the masticating bass furrows deep in your bowels.
The lyrics are clever — insistent — they ask you to examine your beliefs. What do your innate powers say to you? Why carelessly ignore what nature tells you? Profit and greed are blinding goals. Beware the cabal.
This is not revolutionary music — but it’s spry, all the same.
The voice is aggressive, guttural … mauling.
But the fluidity and expertise is never over-the-top. The guitars are stoic — sometimes eloquent — without stepping into unnecessary grandeur or needless virtuosity. So things are kept tight — well contented — but there is a lot of extraordinary vision and masterful musicianship here. Enough to keep the listener fascinated.
Intriguing prog-metal delivered with passionate, masculine voice, breathtaking guitar-work — and an arrangement so fascinating that it will shake your curiosity-nerve fibres into action.
