PSYCHO KISS at HRH AOR Festival
A constant favourite on the South Wales hard rock music scene — Psycho Kiss bring stories of real life experiences delivered with technical brilliance and genuine emotion.
With powerful vocals from Helen Ceri Clarke, and lead guitar-work from Paul O’Brien plus Marvin Medwell (bass) and Penfold (drums) in the engine-room — the Neath and Swansea based band deliver catchy tunes with infectious hooks and plenty of humour and honesty — and its all provided in a classic rock mould.
We are looking forward to their live show at HRH AOR this weekend.
To get us in the mood we have been listening to their 2013 ‘Bloodbath at the Disco’:-
This number chills your spine — then it shivers right up your insides — before frosting your brain-parts.
Tingling cool guitars shimmer like sheet-ices … before the geysers of guitar spout out their long flumes of fire.
It’s then that we get that wonderfully powerful and full-throttle voice from Helen — as it gushes out.
The vocals are superlative in their maturity — womanly — and tense. This is a perfect track.
A mix of instrumental fireworks and astonishingly well developed vocals.
