UK AOR band Romeo’s Daughter is back on the road – and will be appearing at HRH AOR this weekend.
Fronted by female vocalist Leigh Matty and expertly backed by songwriter and guitarist Craig Joiner, Ed Poole on bass and drummer Andy Wells, the band have recently been working on their new album ‘Spin’.
To get us in the mood for their LIVE SHOW this week — we have been watching their superb Alive video from 2013:
This has bites of sound that run right through it – they are like twinges of conscience probing into your heart.
The iron oxide vocal from Leigh is earthy and rounded. But she can reach magnificent highs when released — like a hen-harrier soaring into the wind.
Yes, this is nostalgic (think California in 1990), but what the hey?
It is fresh and fancy. And it invites you to sing along and hold onto your best friend. As you both bob your frothy heads to that soft inviting beat.
